Default Drangonfly in flight

Just sharing my catch on a drangonfly. I had a hard time trying to use autofocus on these fellow. It was moving constantly... So I tried to track it and use manual focus to take the shot. (that explains the soft pic)

I tried all the Area-AF modes but just coudn't get it. Is it even possible to catch a dragonfly in flight with any of the AF modes?

Camera: D200
Lens: 18mm~200mm with VR on.
ISO: 400
Aperture priority mode.

At the intersection of Ave 9 and Ave 7, you'll see what looks like an entrance to a construction site. Dumster trucks movin in and out thru the metal gates, as they are upgrading the bike park. The gates open at 7am and closes at 7pm.

Let me know if you can't find the map on your directory.
