Default Difference between AF-S 80-200mm f/2.8D IF-ED & AF 80-200mm f/2.8D ED

Hi Guys,

Anyone can enlighten me the difference between this two lenses?

AF-S and screw drive AF-D... other than there the 2 are more or less the same.

1. the AF-S motor. meaning the focusing speed is slower on the AF-D version unless you drive it with a d2h or d2x

2. AF-S is heavier than the AF-D version

3. AF-D uses a AF/MF ring which is pretty fragile which the AF-S uses a button to switch the AF/MF on/off
