1. the AF-S motor. meaning the focusing speed is slower on the AF-D version unless you drive it with a d2h or d2x
2. AF-S is heavier than the AF-D version 3. AF-D uses a AF/MF ring which is pretty fragile which the AF-S uses a button to switch the AF/MF on/off |
