    They probably dunno..
I suppose the information will only be disclosed prior to the launch date so as not to affect sales of the current models...

    Just my assumption.

PS: And I can only tell you this much because I'm also bounded by NDA.

NDA? I thought the P5000 announced already what. Selling somemore.

Since you know someone in Epson, maybe you can feedback to that guy that the way they are handling it is not very professional. I can understand if they do not launch it in Singapore the same time as Japan but at least they can inform customers who call them about the target launch date if they have one.

I REALLY hope that they are not hiding the launch date so as to dump more "old" gen stuff on Singapore.

Anyway it is good that it will be launch in Singapore. At least I can buy batteries, pay for local support if needed after the warranty expire.

Maybe they are trying to clear their P2000 stock first.

Bringing in the P5000 will canabilize P2000 sales and lower its profit margins.

Also maybe Singapore has limited stock allocation and/or they currently cannot commit to enough volume to get a decent profit margin.

Dont think so .... do you know how much is the price difference? .... dont think it is worth so much to pay for the P5000 (should be at least above $1,100) .... can buy a notebook for that $.

I was at CP during lunch when my contact told me that Epson 5000/3000 is coming but there is no fix and clear date.

Can expect the price to 4 digits for P5000
