I feel like dying now, after reading your post. Will you be kind enough to tell me a way to commit suicide that has same level of impact and publicity offered by the MRT?
You see jumping sea/river, the boby may not be found and people will think it is accident. No impact leh.
Drinking Toxic is worse, nobody knows you are dead at home.

I pen something simple (pardon my english) , on behalf of empathy volunteers (suicide) who aid to reduce suicide causes.

    The Wind
    ---------
    Lets respect the dead,
    For they are gone.
    Whether they met,
    Before their earthly time.

    Lets not hold,
    Our value on others.
    Lest our values,
    Hold not true.

    Lets not sniff,
    Away the light of life.
    Once the drift comes,
In eternal darkness we shall (of death)

Govt in all countries have difficulties trying to solve poverty even they know the reasons
Ya but jumping on track may cause accident and many more people might die along with the jumper........and if their families can live and enjoy the windfall, they are not normal.......

Nowadays, faster and credible news from EDMW hardwarezone members then CNA.

It seems that the media here is now downplaying the news about train accident.

No link as I heard it on radio but I read the report at EDMW first.

I still believe that the only way we'll get a safety barrier like the one at HK Disneyland MTR is when a pregnant lady commits suicide on the tracks as the public outcry will be great. Even today, I don't see the MRT staff patrolling the station. Looks like profit over safety issues.

    HTH.

The media is trying to prevent copycat deaths. They figure that people are likely to jump too if they see if others are publicised after they die. Hopefully the trend will stop.

Just want to point out that (not counting this fainting episode) the recent 2 incidents did not happen "at the west side".

So it no "EVERYTIME happen at the west side".

Lost cause, my friend. If they wanted to do it, they would have done it long ago.

Until they have to scrub people-stains off their trains and tracks daily, then they MAY reconsider.

They need to prove that how "highly" ranked they are?

Anyway, here is the report from Today regarding this incident
