Pretty good images, don't you think?

Haha.. Nowadays I very lost. Olympus forum like is dead without the E-system posting. haha. Anyway still wondering when the E-400 with liveview will come.

Images are good but noise seems high on ISO640.

Images are pretty good, even the ISO 800 ones.

Then again, I wouldn't like too much in-camera noise reduction; it just kills details, makes everything look artificial.

If I really need noise reduction, I'd prefer to do it in post production.

i wud have to agree with the artificial part. i find that the image quality is not as good as the E1, but no doubt there is an increase in details. was looking at the image with the blue sky (3rd last), somehow it looked too cyan. the bundled kit lenses r also a let down.

for its size & portability, its hard to beat. i think its way better than the Sony R1 in terms of expandability & controls.

I got this feeling that the E-400 would go the way of the E-300.

Watch out for a live-view version folks!

Will it be selling locally i wonder? Is the viewfinder still smallish Olympus style?

Probably not going to be released in Singapore due to its limited production run.

In fact it's not going to be released in Japan as well. However rumour has it that a live-view version of the E-400 would be released in 2007.
