the wonderment of mother nature's unseen life.

but IMO there still leaves a lot more to be desired where composition is concern.

it's good to be there isn't it, but look further and you might just see the light.

Actually I like it, that is the subject of the young fern growing from an old tree bark - a new lease of life. This is highlighted with light falling onto the new fern leave. Good idea and composition.

However, the background is the "show stopper" that is the background is too bright and have too many color tones and shades. This therefore creates distraction from the subject (which you are trying to portray). for example the brown ferns in the background on the left - very distracting. There many patches of whites and bright tones in the background. And near the subject one big brown leaf on the bottom right.

Anyway this is just my personal opinion and observations and it is subjective. I am also learning.

All said - I still like this picture very much
