Hi! Guess I managed to post in here after all. It was months after months of delibration and research that I finally join the 'dark' side. Just gotten myself a Nikon D70s this weekend. Must say I've got lots to learnt about the camera. Practically a newbie in DSLR, so I'll need advice from the pros in here. Thank you.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Like I said, the force of the dark side had been beckoning strongly, too hard for me to resist. The initial feeling of purchasing it was heart wrenching, when my wallet became so much lighter. But when the force came onto my hands, the speed and power were so alluring. It really feels like a lightsaber in hand, ha ha ha ha.

Yeah... when you quit shooting altogether or when you switch to other camps... But then you get a new disease... (insert other brand name) acquisition syndrome

Why not? It makes no difference then, since she'll be paying for both anyway, no matter which first.
Just tell her you wish to get the camera first, then attend the course. When you handle the DSLR, then you get to understand and know what problem you might be facing. It'll be more beneficial when you attend the course, and raise questions on the doubts you previously encountered. |
