Took some macros yesterday.....not many interesting subjects to shoot. These are just some of the common insects here.
FZ10+raynox 250, F8, 1/60s, ISO50, 2 diffused flash #1: Plant bug with diff BG....change of angle can cause BG to be very different, and insect also change its position 1A: ![]() 1B ![]() #2:Some orb spider ![]() #3: Don't come near me! ![]() #4: It can really move very fast on the web. Its movements around is habitat are different from the JS. It will put its butt up in the air and shoot a string of web in the air and let the wind carry the web. When the other end of the web catches hold of something, leaf, branch or at one time my flash, it will start crawling on the web (like below) and move along The line. ![]()

I like 1B and 4. nice pics bro.
Also, want to ask you. you have a canon A610 or 620 right. just have to buy an adaptor (from canon?) and reverse mount a 50mm for the macros you take? Because my friend recently got the A640. pretty good camera i feel. Thinking of influencing him to maco as well hahaha. Regards, tltan |

![]() Need not be canon adapter, if have 3rd party type, also can, I remember vaguely that someone sells the metal adapter....but somehow cannot find it here. The Canon adapter is plastic... no issues, but thought metal may be more lasting. Edited: Ah here it is...alu adapter. http://forums.clubsnap.org/showpost....58&postcount=8

Hi All,
------- Need not be canon adapter, if have 3rd party type, also can, I remember vaguely that someone sells the metal adapter....but somehow cannot find it here. The Canon adapter is plastic... no issues, but thought metal may be more lasting. ------- The above someone is actually McGill. We do have ready stock of the 610 metal adapter, third-party, no brand, @S$35nett only. Cheers, Jim. |

No problem, my pleasure.
The above shots were taken by the FZ10, a prosumer. And with the Raynox250 combo, I don't shoot so often now using the A610+rev, cos the working distance of the Fz10 is larger 10cm vs 4cm, and this allows the flash to be positioned with more flexibility, and the mag rates for Fz10 combo is more. That said, I ought to practice with the A610 once in awhile....got some really good shots with it....and it helps me to practice keeping my hands steady....

anyway, bro. You think my friend can just get an adaptor from McGill and get their Raynox 250 to start shooting macros?

i really love how u managed the DOF on #2 but would prefer the BG of #1. It's as if the insects is sitting on a platform reaching out to another. An extra dimension I call it.
i must really concede ur work will make a lot of macro folks see green, n i guess even those so called "professional" ![]() |
