Advices needed for extention tube with canon 100mm macro lens

Hi,

I would like to find out if i can add a extention tube to my 100mm macro lens to achieve closer focusing and a more shallow DOF?

What are the options available?

Yes you can do that. However, the working distance will be reduced.

Alternatively, you can use teleconvertors where the working distance remains the same but you get higher magnification. You can even combine both tubes + TC together.
