    Default close-ups on dollar bills

feeling bored at home so decided to do some macro shots of something we come into contact everyday - money! all shots were taken with a 50mm prime lens reverse mounted on my Canon Powershot G3. $2 and $10 notes were used.

Someone advised me strongly not to take pictures of bills. Not too sure if we will violate any laws..

be sure to add the label/word "SPECIMEN" on any currency u wanna shoot.
u dun want to get into trouble with the law.

Don't worry too much if you are taking macro or portion of it. U need to put specimen only if you take a full frontal pic such that others can print it out and use it. Just relax and enjoy your hobby!

No, I don't think this is against the law. The pics you have taken hardly constitue a note but you should always play it safe anyway. Some prosecutors may consider a pixel of a note to be part of a note as well

There shouldn't be any problem.. The laws for such reproduction has been relaxed. Here is an article.
