Any Nikon user using Metz 76 MZ-5 Digital? need help with info.
What are the necessary accessories to connect this flash to the camera? is an SCA adaptor required and which type to get, I can check the Metz URL but I thought better get advice from one who uses the flash. Follow-up questions: How much is it? Where selling? Also, how much are the gel sets? Thanks in advance. ../azul123 |

As the SCA adaptors for Nikon cameras are pretty extensive, you might want to specify which model of Nikon camera you're using.
This same SCA adaptor should be able to work on a 54MZ4 as well and have no incompatibility problem with the 76 MZ-5 hammerhead ... gosh you're getting one? |

I've checked their website and the SCA for D200 is 3402 M6, I wanted a flash not on hot shoe as it is very top heavy for long use. I was thinking that getting a hammerhead flash the weight will be distributed on the elbows instead of the strain on my wrist.
A friend told me that my thinking is flawed, it is still a strain on upper body, just tells me to do something with my physical. I had a slip disc some 8 years ago and it is still bothering me from time to time.I dunno maybe I should go without flash and use prime lens by upping ISO and get by with ambient light. ../azul123 |

I have the 76 MZ-5 and the SCA 3402 is the correct adapter. You may want to consider the Quantum Turbo 2x2 battery pack to go with it.

How many flashes can it take with a single fully loaded battery? was thinking of lesser weight. Can a single battery in the flash plus a spare be enough to cover ~400 flashes?

Bearing in mind the killer cost comes in the cable connecting to the flash unit itself. ![]() |

Played with Metz 76 MZ-5 Digital with SCA 3402 M6 adaptor, iTTL seems to works accurately both iTTL BL and iTTL. I noticed when playing with the Flash that the WB is warmer than normal if set to WB to Flash (lightning symbol).
Reading the Flash manual it states this Metz Flash has a Colour Temperature of 5600K and when I set WB to 5600K it looks more accurate. Does anyone concur with the above on Metz Flash? your feedback is much appreciated, wanted to verify findings, thanks in advance. ../azul123 |
