Thanks for all your information. In terms of quality and comfy. How you compare with the 3rd party?

Sorry, i've not tried 3rd party ones but went straight for the Nikon one after reading good reviews about it. Yeah, its a tad bit expensive but decided to go for it anyway.
Its definitely comfortable with nice soft leather. Its definitely very high quality leather. Stitching is top notch. Easy to strap on & off with the velcro strap. I'm pretty satisfied with it. |

hmm... lemme try to get some pictures taken then i'll post them. together with the canon strap
I was originally using a 3rd party strap (with the bottom attachement piece) which was really uncomfortable. My Canon kakis recommended me the strap. So i got the canon strap and attached it to the attachment from the 3rd party strap. I thnk it is worth considering if you already have a 3rd party strap or maybe search for a second hand one in the forum and get a brand new leather canon strap. IMO i think you are able to hold the camera better with the nikon strap (i.e. more secure) but it is very troublesome to tighten the velcro strap all the time. I still like the canon strap. |

Ok, heres my review of the straps from Canon and Nikon
sorry bout the image quality... taken wif HP. The following picture shows how u hold the cam wif the AH4. Notice the velcro strap which i mentioned in the earlier post ![]() This is the base plate of the AH4 which is screwed on to the camera body. ![]() This is the canon E1 Strap with a 3rd party base plate. I couldn't get used to the original synthetic leather so i got the E1 Strap. ![]() This is how the it is like using the Canon E1 Strap with the 3rd party base plat ![]() well hope it gives u guys an idea. if you are getting canon E1, you might want to try Lord camera... they got a pretty similar design hand strap but is Nikon (base plate included). I got it @ $40, a little ex tho.
