Default Touristy shots from California

Just sharing a handful of touristy shots of US.

Lombard Street of San Francisco. Eight twists and turns ...

The more colorful model of the cable car in SF.

The Alcatraz jail cells. One of the cells shown here formerly houses the notorious Al Capone.

A Highway pit stop scene.

Scenic highway.

I like "scenic highway".
The complimentary colour scheme made that photo stand out!

Roger,
Fantastic pictures... May I ask what camera do you use? The pictures are so '3D'. I'll be going to NYC this December and was wondering what 'proper' gear to bring. Don't want to lug around everything...
Cheers!

was the cable car shot PSed? It doesn't look like panning to me. Other than that, I like the rest of the shots.

wow. Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

viclam, I brought my Canon A75, Nikon DSLR, 12-24m, 18-70mm, 120-300mm, flash and tripod with me. I did not worry about the weight initially because I am driving most times but when I check in my luggage at the airport after all that shopping at the factory outlets, it was grossly overweight.

Ndroo, of course must shoot birds lah! If not, damm wasted to bring your tripod there and not use it.

noob117 and Big Kahuna, sorry, I really don't know what cable car is that as I am only in that part of the city for 1 day. Anyway, this "cable car" took the rail of the the traditional cable car. I guess Big Kahuna is probably right.

melnjes, nope, the cable car shot was not PSed (curves and USM only for web).It was panned at night using a 1/5sec shutter speed with a Canon A75. This is one of my favourite shot actually.

boroangel, you looked at my webbie? ... thanks for the viewing.

I find that the contrast is overdone and overly saturated.... Just my $0.20...

Thanks again everyone.

Feinwerkbau, honestly, the Cliff House looks much nicer then my pic. Just standing there watching the birds fly in and out of their that "crapping" rock is just very peaceful. Not forgetting the real sound effects of the waves. Thanks.

Deadpoet, hey, you are right and my laziness for not stating that Vegas and Grand Canyon are not in California. Thanks.

Hoky, thanks for the comment on that pic.
