I am currently relying on kind soul like u on the forum to be 'informed' of firmware update, apart from a constant google effort.

U received notice? I did not even I was registered with Canon.

Can someone explain to me what this means? I read and read, still blurr leh..

Corrected the phenomenon wherein the displayed number of continuous shots that can be taken increases when images that have been taken are deleted.

The maximum burst displayed during continuous shooting is 9 (maximum burst displayed on the viewfinder when shooting in the RAW+JPEG setting is 7). Please refer to the instruction manual for an estimate of the actual number of shots that can be taken continuously.

I upgrade...but I'm not sure for what sort of feedback you are looking for? The firmware has just two minor changes. My 30D still works after the upgrade, if that was the question.

i can't upgrade my firmware...it says CF card conaining firmware is required to update. Cannot update..

Anyone got this problem..?

What if you format your CF using your 30D then copy the file over?

I got no problem on using a Kingston CF 512MB.

This CF formated by using 30D and i copy the Firmware using the CF Reader.
Working fine with 1.0.5 now.
