Was looking at the Four Thirds website, and realized that the new E-400 camera is not listed as part of the camera body system. Was wondering why is this so? Olympus owns the website and I believe they maintained it, so that left me scratching my head. This is one body that I am very interested in, because of the size. Very compact.
Maybe it is because it is only shipping to restricted areas? |

Maybe... I was scratching my head about this, because Olympus are the ones who is managing this site and yet they are slow... which kinda don't make sense... Is it possible that they are not listing the E-400 body because it is not available at all regions? Really weird.

Is the E400 selling in Europe already??? If not, maybe this could be the reason why it is not listed yet.

I am quite sure all over Asia, there will be grey market "water goods" available... the critical thing is, will Olympus offer service and support for these models? Maybe not initially, but in 6 months to a year's time? I do hope so because I am very keen on getting this lightweight body for traveling. Coupled with a 11-22 it would be a perfect holiday package!

2 things to take note:
1. E-400 will only be released for sale in Europe in End November or December, therefore not surprising that it is not on the website yet. 2. A revised or enhanced version of the E-400 will be released in rest of the world early next year. Speculation says that it will either have the E-330's Mode B Live View or the Mju 750's CCD shift IS system built in. The former appears to be more likely. |

I'll buy the improved e-400 in a brink if it has a live-view lcd for normal picture taking.

Same here. That E-330 is HEAVY especially when coupled with a 11~22 in a long haul.

I'm kinda apprehensive abt the 400's size though...
The lack of a bulging grip for the right-hand... Honestly, best DSLR i've held so far (in terms of size, feel and totally personal opinion...) should be the Nikons... My 2 cents... But the 400 has a very retro feel/look which appeals to me... i like the retro/vintage look... BUT the L1 is STILL out of reach at the moment... ![]() |

i think that the e400 is best for 1body+1lens combos.
yeah microcosm you're right. The 11-22mm lens is the perfect lens to go with it!! |
