Nice close up. But did you try with more DOF? The mouth is abit soft compared with the eyes.

f11 was the max i went ... yup, i'm not sure what's up with the mouth.

the 2 "front legs" i thought were much closer .... but i could be wrong. (very likely .... )

not sure if diffraction will kick in beyond f11, i'll should try that again. Gotta go find the bugs!

nice setup, but the mantis seems to be floating

more dof will be better even if there was defraction

ummm, shouldn't we be more concerned with the subj's welfare first? I sure hope it wasn't harmed in the process and duly released back to the environment within a short time.

it flew off after a while, probably bored of the flashing lights.

i belief no one here kills their subjects.

i'm worried about retribution too you know .... heh heh .... cheers!
