As Dreamerz suggested - am transferring this offer of free 2 hour training to this thread.
This is not the starter to some course where you have to pay. Its a stand alone for newbies to have a basic foundation and understanding of video hardware, formats, editing.
After the course you will understand what is mpg1 and mpg2, avi, mpg4, differences between beginners editing program/hardware and professional program/hardware
get your questions answered, have an idea of creating a photo montage dvd.
meet fellow video enthusiast, maybe form a group to go video outing, bring your cam along for some basic pointers.

i am in the industry but would like to join and learn more, also wanted to mix around with people with same interest. so can i join? btw can advise time and place?

if there is enough interest, it'll be likely 5th or 11th November either morning or noon, best you guys indicate ie. put your name there and indicate which date and time is suitable for you and then we select the majority.

OK I have enough people this session is closed - there will be others if this is successful.
The best way to say its successful is that those participating itself say it one way or the other. Those who want to be on standy pls indicate at number 9 and 10, becoz there are always some for whatever reason will drop out.
Will pm on location and the date will be 11th November afternoon 2 to 4.30 or 5pm, normally 2 hours is not sufficient even for this basic foundation.

thanks Hjebat, appreciate your support. there were 2 persons who didn't turn up and its a regret as others could have fill the place. Anyway if any other video newbies (newbies please) wants to learn free and without obligation, do pm me and I'll keep you in mind for the next lesson.

Yeah... its a pity as only two person turned up for the talk... guess its because of the downpour that afternoon...

Cecil sure is knowledgable and that few hours sure wasnt enough to have a basic grasp of video... however it did give a video newbie like me an insight to the basics and fundamentals... recommended for newbies who wanna know more n venture into video! With his wealth of experience, Cecil would be able to guide you on should you decide to commit further and learn more.
