I was recently fooling around with adapters and put a Carl zeiss Jena 2.8/80 lens on my
10D. The outcome wasn't too bad and the bokeh looks interesting. Only thing is that the metering is not calibrated for the lens so one has to make some exposure compensation. Below is a sample of a pix I took. Appears a bit soft but speed was slow on a breezy afternoon and it was a hand held shot; so not as sharp as I would like there. Picture is untouched : ![]() Perhaps, some sharing on adapters from clubsnap members? Cheers. |

Hi,
As the lens is not calibrated, it always reads at 55 and 1.4. I can only use aperture priority and aperture is set via the aperture ring on the lens. So the electronics really didn't talk. |

you might want to check if fotodiox has those adapters for your lens.
i dont have experience with the czj lenses. i have used adapter cz c/y lenses onto an eos mount if you can adapt right, the cz lenses are very sharp and will blow you alway. check to see if your lens has the ninja aperture blades at wide open. i do know that some cz cy lenses have that and it gives a unique bokeh to the image. |

I've used a CZ Distagon 28mm on my 20D. Nice result. Very nice bokeh! Used it wide open though. Difficult to focus when I close down the aperture. Very dark!!
