Clueless

Just a qn which may sound stupid to some.

If I buy a camera like Canon S3IS, do I need to get another lens??
If yes, why???
What additional function does the new lens provide?

no you need not get another lens, the built in lens is good enough already. unless u want to have a wider or narrower field of view, u can buy extra wide angle converter or telephoto lens respectively. but a word of caution, do not buy those cheap brandless add-on lens, they will degrade your image quality too much.
