each brand has its own pros and cons.
i dun see a point in discussing who is good or not. which brand is superior than the other. best point will be both cameras are tools, and it depends on how u make the best out of your equipment. such a thread about comparing nikon and canon will end up to be more a debate and cause the forum communities to be split into nikon camps and canon camps. do a search and u will see that many has done the same before you and they have made their decision. most of them are happy while some are not happy or not even contented. if you have money to burn. get both. ![]()

this type of question really no right or wrong answers. most people only own one brand, the views can be lopsided. there are the fortunate few who use both brands. maybe they can help you out.
the best is to do your own research and see which features you like best or pertain more to your kind of photography. visit a good shop, try the build and handling. read reviews. make your own informed decision. if you search this forum, you will gather a lot of info and comparisons between these 2 brands. either one will provide adequate tools for you to embark on your photography journey! ![]() Last edited by babykailan; 26th October 2006 at 11:37 AM. |

What about your friends, your kakis, your cousins etc. Go join them so that you can borrow/test/lease their gear.
