Default Fuji WL-FX9 wide converter

I was down at MS color today and bought the Slik U9000 tripod and a Lowepro Orion Trekker backpack (I'm beginning to regret getting the bag )

I asked about the original Fuji WL-FX9 wide angle converter lens and was quoted $260 for it, and stock will be in about 2 weeks later. I wonder if $260 worth it? I was recommended a Vitacon wide angle converter but rejected it coz it's silver in color (I have an OEM adapter ring for fuji that is black in color.)

While I did not make any commitments except to leave my contact no. for them to call me when stock arrived (I actually called Fujifilm to enquire and was told that stock will arrive in late feb). Is any clubsnapper here using the the original fuji wide angle converter? and is $260 a correct price to pay for it?

Any advise is appreciated.

I paid $200 for it at MS Color. You need to bargain when you buy accessories or electrical goods....

how much did you pay for the bag and tripod? usual discounted price is ~$65 for the bag and ~$65-70 for the tripod (with bag).

I paid the discounted price for the bag at $65 and $70 for the U9000. While the bag seems cool, I find that I'm beginning to dislike it despite that I haven't use it. Wonder how much can I sell it off for.

The bottom where camera is stored is great, but the top area is mainly for change of clothes and personal accessories which I don't think will be of much use to me. While my lenses and filters can be kept in other compartment at the bottom, I just can't find anywhere in the top compartment to put heavy stuff like batteries etc. Everything is going to be in a mess when I open the bag to remove the camera.
