Default Unsuccessful

hi, i am using hoya R72, sigma 17-70mm and canon 350D. i still think that something is not right yet as no matter how i processed it, it will not give me somehitng similar to the ones i saw here. my ir photos look colourless ans always too dark even at 45". anyone has any solution for this?

Really hard to help you because dun know if there anything wrong with your camera...you have to do trial and error...if you understand your camera well enough, you should know how to get the right exposure through the filter.

Wanz's first try

This was done by another newbie with a 400D which I believe, have a tougher hot mirror. But he managed to get a pretty good exposure with 30secs, f7.1 at ISO100.
