I really love to use Changi airport. Efficient, smooth, nice environment, got all kinds of distraction around you to make the time go by. This is by far my favourite airport!
But when it come to the woodlands checkpoint, all I remember are : the messy queues, the smoke for the exhaust pipes, the armed guards and the cameras in your face.
Today as I was coming back from KL, I went through the usual process. And both on my way out and back in, I noticed that the malaysian side was faster to clear the same amount of vehicles.
What a laugh we had in the car looking at the magnificent and imposing building on the SG side that was slower than the messy old and dirty neighbour checkpoint.
Like they say: "looks can be deceiving".
