Default Diffuser

Hi all,
Anyone is using the diffuser as featured here http://store.garyfonginc.com/liiido.html ?
There are 2 types, one is transparent.. the other is foggy. Understand that foggy gives a warmer tone. Does the diffuser helps at all in bounce photography where the celling is high?
Cathay is offering each at abt $90. Is it too ex? Does anyone has a better lobang?

from my knowledge, CP is the only store selling this product brand new @ $90/91 (depends on clear/cloud version). the only cheaper way is thru the BnS here.?

as for your definition of high as in how high? those at shopping centres?
IMO, 'clear' is gives more 'range' for your flash while the 'cloud' diffuses the light v.nicely that will give you v.warm colours for portraits..

yes indeed the size is bulky..
wondering if this diffuser helps in compensating the short comings of bounce photography as featured in gary's videos.. as well as defeating the height of ceilings...

i had personally never shot in high ceilings of about 6m as you mentioned earlier. i would rather use bounce card/omnibounce if the ceiling is too high/even non-existent. think the light loss might be too much imo..

on top of what azul123 say size is a factor, i like to highlight a couple of more issues that i had with my LS..
1. LS is abit on the 'heavy' side for my 580EX and the weight of it will cause the hinge to snap back to the 90degree position if i had tilted it upwards..
2. there is 1 or 2 times when the whole LS fell out of my flash for my rushed/poor attachment to it. and yes, it can be embarrassing to the user. :s

so yeah.

Share the same sentiments...
Its size and poor fit does seem to outweigh its benefits. At its best, it performs idealy (IMO) at worst it makes me thinks ahh... don't bother about it lah
