Had my very first macro shoot yesterday at SBG and the path leading to the Treetop. Thanks to Kernik for lending me his Canon 100mm 2.8 for the day and Cecil for showing us where and what to shoot.
Confirm getting the lens, now it's just a matter of finding the money in my pocket..... ![]() 1. Grasshopper ![]() 2. Red grasshopper found under a leaf ![]() |

First, some ID correction:
#1 is a cricket. Watch your BG, its abit cluttered. Face also needs a bit of fill in. #3: The "babies" are alphids....and they are like the ant's cows....provide some sweat things to them in exchange for protection. May try a tighter crop, and crop out the hotspots. #4: Is a skink. Good focus on eyes. Of the pics #6 is the best of the lot....perhaps a tighter crop with the drop at the bottom left of the rules of third intersection? Just some 2c.

Thanks for all your comments and identification of the creatures..
![]() Black dots are dusts... it's a result of sharing of lens... But I have no complaints... ![]() |
