I think the 1st image is nice and strong. The second, potentially interesting. Consider the usage of patterns and lines in the first image, then take a look at the second. The second has patterns as well, which you partly included, but didn't really focus on(i don't mean camera focus).
The 3rd and 4th don't hit me.

Just my own opinions, in terms of photo, pix 1 and 2 are nice, infact 1 is a bit hypnotic for me
In terms of "chemistry", pix 4 looks nice because of the nice warm smiles.

#1 and #2 have nice repeating patterns. #3 and #4 seem more like snapshots.
