Hi, I'm quite interested in IR. Saw from the thread a 77mm Hoya R72 cost more than 200+
, may i know is there any alternative for cheaper filter? any Cokin IR filter? thanks in advance for any feedback.

There's a list of different ones here (with some price)
http://www.2filter.com/prices/infraredfilters.html The Cokin filter is the 89B. Hope that helps |

The Cokin P007 IR Filter is a cheaper alternative, but it cuts off at a different range from the Hoya R72. Allows more visible light to pass through, making IR pics done with the Cokin having more colors and saturation.
The Cokin is square 3" x 3" resin filter cost ard S$30/-. Can be used without the Cokin P Filter Adapter by just holding over the lens when shooting IR. |
