Default Manfrotto 190DB price drop.

CP dropped the price of 190DB from $346 to $190
according to the ST page 18.

Yes! I just saw the ad. Is this the same as the 190ProB? Worth getting now?

190ProB is different from the 190DB version. I bought my 190DB at Alex Photo this June and paid S$125 for the legs alone. The ProB is suppose to cost a bit more.

I don't know much about the ProB because I don't have it. But from the view of it, the ProB is all black while the 190D (the one I bought) is matt silver colour at the 3 section legs. If I am not wrong, the ProB stands taller than the DB when both tripods legs are fully extended. Also a bit heavier than the DB version. And has a bubble spirit level built in.

The legs fast release on pro and pro have the bubble and the column can turn horizontal.
DB is just using wingnut on the legs for knocking

You can go to the website to look at the different specs.

190DB
http://www.manfrotto.com/Jahia/site/manfrotto/cache/offonce/pid/2214?livid=68|69&idx=71

190ProB
http://www.manfrotto.com/Jahia/site/manfrotto/cache/offonce/pid/2050?livid=68|69&idx=71

Basically, 190DB is slighly smaller and lighter. The mechanism to release the leg is also the screw/knob type, unlike 190ProB which is quick release clip. 190ProB allows u to place the centre column horizontal, but not 190DB.

I think that's abt it, I think.

But if I am not wrong it's a combo they are advertising (head + legs) so I think it's reasonable.

Imagine the profits before the promo came out and you get a rough idea on the other products...

I think originally the price is not actually that high, if you ask them, they may give a different price, which is about half of the price tag indicates...

Hmm...other than that, I'm not so sure.

Din know that they gave me the wrong box (190DB) so all this while thought that mine was the DB version till I checked out at Manfrotto website.
