A nice try... wished I shot as well for my first time.. however, some of the pics here seem a lil' under-ex. A great attempt though!

devilboy, thanks. I think I need to improve alot on the outdoor shot as well.

zcf, thanks. I will do another round of re-crop. I also notice the alot of head-room in some of the pics.

bokeh1.8, thanks. As it was also my first attempt using my new 580flash. Havent really master the setting in it. But I will definetely improve in that too.

cosycatus, many thanks but I was using 580ex but I guess my bounce wasnt strong enough. Will improve in that aspect.

I would think u done rather well.

Off the norm, if it's intentional then I would say u know your stuff, if it's accidental then then it's a good direction to take (for weddings).

I am talking about the ambience that's captured in your pix though some sparkle is lacking, the naturalness of the occasion captured imparts to me a feel that the occasion is special. Good was that there was no apparent "overposing" which will kill the pix.

Better post processing of the pix will help, don't feel quality is lacking from your equipment. It's digital media shoot more to get what you want, in film 2 shots to make sure more will cost more $$ , in digital 5 shots to make sure if the chance permit (2 x 4GB @ 10m Pixel will go a long way) , though some subject may be upset.

Cheers
Koi

Can't complain for a first try. Not bad. But I find most of the shots to be a tad under.

pix 3 works for me Impressive attempt for first time but I find the tilted shots a bit uncomfortable.. But just personal preference. The arms too, ask bride to straighten and pull backwards if shots are posed. Of couse if you have super slim bride then dont really matter hee hee..

I would say the bride looks a bit plump here, not very flattering...

Is it first time? Not bad liao... Just a pointer, next time go for outdoor shoot, dun put the couple under the sun, find a shady place, like under foliage or at a corridor of a building...like dat not so shack for them and lighting is more side ways...

Looking at the series in a conventional AD shooter way, pass liao

Use Lightsphere, and forget about all the technical things about flash and concentrate on the composition
