errr. got such thing as 3GB CF card one meh???
So you got DLSR camera, now you are professional in the eyes of your boss. What sort of thinking is this? How can people be so short-sighted? Good luck with the shoot. And every shoot in the future!
All the best to your shoot.
Please remember to watch your shutter speed, avoid taking group shots from a lower angle up. After shot taken, check to see all eyes never blink. And also watch out for the sianz face look. If have, get them to pose & shoot again & again & again until its perfect.
Since the company wants you to shoot, then got to do it your way because its gonna be your master piece.
Too bad dude... these ppl are really the worst Myopic ppl I've ever heard of, hahaha... I'm not one write sutff like these but cannot help after reading this thread.. sorry TS but your boss n you make a very good double team,hahaha...
Even if your boss has the budget to get the high end professional range Dslr with all the top of the line lenses and the best lighting equipment... are you able to handle the shoot, not that I dont trust your skills here but you dont even seem to understand DOF for group photographs...
Its a Real Pity that lots of ppl think, "better equipment = better photographs"
First and foremost get your basics right... go learn and understand what photography is all about..let the Professionals do their job and you do yours..many bosses do not seem to understand this...
I had a boss of a company which I have been shooting for many years(including sending me overseas for shoots), email me a couple of pics he shot overseas with a PnS and asked me to help "improve" on the pics...soo funny right? I made it worse n email back to show him why he needs me to shoot for him...
Btw, which newspaper will the group photograph be used in?
Good luck and all the best...
Anyway, good luck to TS
3 event in 1 year will cost around $3k, 2 year is $6k w/o consider the inflation factor.
Wat sort of thinking ? chinese boss thinking lor .
People can be short sighted wat ..
Thanks . ..
blazer_workz, dont be so cruel to him...
ahnah, did you say its to be used for a half-page ad in the newspaper??
Shutter at least 1/60 or go for 1/125 camera must be tripod mounted (to prevent camera shake)
Aperture : at least f8/f11 (to ensure enough sharpness for a small group)
First I use AUTO BASIC Mode. then note down the Aper. / Ex. / ISO and other relevant setting.
Then change according and trial out.
AUTO Setting as below:
Shutter (tv) :1/60
Aperture (Av) : F4
Focal Length :18mm
Try using smaller apertures like F/8 onwards. (Use A mode.) It is to ensure you have enough depth of field to get faces in focus.
Try not using the extreme wide end of the zoom. Try about 24mm. There tends to be distortion at the widest end that can make faces look wierd.
