Yes. I have both the wireless remote (bought from Sykestang) and the RS-60E remote shutter (the shutter is more exp in SG though)...

I use the wireless remote when I need to include myself in the pics. Basically compose and focus, then go to the front of camera, point and shoot. There's a delay of 2 secs.
The setting is the same as the 10s timer. Observe the symbol for timer has a remote "wave" on it.

i have the RC-1 but i think they are not avaliable anymore cause its a very old remote. there's the new RC-3 but more lag time according to my friend.

do you have a PDA with IR port? You can download and write/use a program to use make it work as a wireless remote. Contact me if you need one that's already written/working. I've only got for 350d/300d and D70/s though.

If you buy the real canon RC5 wireless remote, you can set the camera to take photos instantly, or to have a delay of 3 seconds. Mighty useful.
If you have the RC1 wireless and/or the fake RC5, wireless remote you will be only able to trigger it after a delay.

can i wire it into my handphone with IR port?

I don't have a PDA. means i am left with RC5 option... i don't quite like the delay.... so how much is the damage do I expect in order to get the original one?

    Hi bro,

I managed to find a Canon 350D apps for my Palm, using the Novii Remote.

    Cheers
