Yup, it really is a waste of time. But it was good blowing off steam .

Blowing off steam is never a waste of time.

I personally think that men are very visual creature (tend to fall in love through looks), that's why like to make nice photograph. Women are more passionate, crave for attention, that's why like to be in front of the camera.

It could also due to our build. Men have stronger arms to carry a SLR, while women have more and better curves to make interesting pictures.

    Why do you say?

Sky, are you on drugs when you post this?

I didn't read the whole thread but this view of the male gaze upon the woman is a very traditional and stereotypical notion. Feminists hate the idea of the eroticizing of the female form, because they believe that men put women in the limelight as a way to limit their social powers.

I'm not here to debunk it because traditions and stereotypes come from a generalized perspective which means some truth hangs to it.

Anyway it's true women appear to be the more sensual creature (note: i didn't say sexual) but perhaps it's because not too many guys bother to develop their so-called curves. I feel that the human body (both male and female) is a very beautifully sculptured form. A slender curvy woman can be as alluring as a mascularly defined guy. Of course, a male viewer wld prefer the female model... but thats's just due to sexual preference. Wonder what about choosing between a good-looking male model and an overweight female model??? Wld that skew ur choice?

I'm a female but I don't think anything is wrong in sharing your views. At least it's your perspective and u'r honest about it!

Anyway i'm more interested in photographing my dogs (where male/female don't matter la)

You should see some men explode...right in this forum. A total waste of time, reading their angst.

    Back to topic:

You need empirical proof to say for sure what your title says, else it's just, frankly, another waste of time. Another subjective sparring.

Just got back from a holiday in Malaysia. But it is a holiday turn disaster.

    Here’s my ordeal:

It was raining heavily on Sunday night, no street light, (unintentionally) drove into a pool of water and enjoyed the splash. It is something we don’t experience often in Singapore.

The night after, while driving the warning light comes on. It says “Stop, Engine temperature too high”. Pulled over the car, did some basic checks. Fan is working, water level is full. I try to phone for help, realized there’s no network. I walked 5km in total darkness to the nearest town. When in town, realized I do not know what number to call.
Rest there for the night. Through out the night, image of my car being stolen keep running through my mind.

Next day, got a road side mechanics to inspect the car. He suspected the water was not circulated to the engine. He removed the thermostat to allow water to flow freely into the engine compartment. Problem not solved, the overheating sign is still on. It should be the sensor giving me the problem, but not very sure either.

It was heart stopping moment to drive a supposing over heating car to the nearest authorized agent. Gave up the challenge after half an hour of continuous stopping. Phone for a towing service. Well is it late Monday, Servicing center closed for the day. Tuesday and Wednesday are holiday in Malaysia.

Managed to contact Singapore service centre, the towing fee is $2 per km plus Singapore entry levy of $400. I am about 680km away from Singapore. If I get a road side service, my warranty will be voided. Got no better choice but to wait till Thursday for the authorize agent to resume operation.

Come Thursday, agent office is open but not the servicing center. Made the ultimate decision to drive back to Singapore, comforting myself the whole saga is all about a stupid faulty sensor.

Drove for 11 hours without aircon before hitting my beloved shore. Suffered heat exhaust during the 2hrs jam at KL. After KL, it was rain all the way. It was a very dangerous drive, the windscreen forged and I can’t see clearly in the rain. I try to wipe the screen but it does not help at all.

Ladies…. Gentlemen….. All these suffering because of a faulty sensor.
