Hi, anyone knows the market value of 350D? I was considering 350D but the price in some threads are quite outdated since 400D is out. THanks guys for replying.

The 'market' is you and me. The collective average of what buyers are willing to pay.
Unfortunately, we never really know what the true market price is just by screening the Buy & Sell forum because the threads are always closed without stating the actually transacted price - which must be lower than the asking price. The market should be a neutral space, but the environment, in many little ways, seems biased in favour of sellers. |

When it comes to cameras there are absolute bargains to be had in the B&S, at least compared to how much these things used to cost. Within a year the value appears to drop around 50% or more. My guess is that you can get a 350D at around $900. Maybe even lower. If you're prepared to settle for even less, the D60 and D30 might be had for even cheaper.
The 350D is still a very capable camera, and so is the 300D. What you can do is the post a WTB thread in the forums and see what replies you get. Monitor the other threads selling a 350D at the same time and you'll get a rough gauge of how much it typically sells for. |

To me, a good deal is about 50% of the current new price. A fair deal is 66% of the new price. A bad deal would be 75% of the new price.
An unused set with no wear and tear to the shutter and whatnot, with a fresh warranty and free gifts currently costs $1250. |

Advice you to take up 400D. It should cost around RRP$1799. But you might be able to get it cheaper at Parisilk. =) |

Although 350D is older than 400D but its still a v capable camera.. I will say, go for whatever that suits ur budget most and wun hurt ur pocket too much.. U can slowly expand ur lens arsenal in the future which is more impt than the cam body..

Yup, and I guess most will know, 350D's ISO at 800 and 1600 are still slightly better than 400D.. So do consider carefully before making your purchase. Lens last a long time while body is just a transitional thing..
