Default Back from the hospital

Finally got my camera back from NSC
it's been a long 8 days of not shooting
so while on the way back from NSC to my office
I stopped by ASH to give my camera a spin

Hope you like them, my skills rusty already

great angles but i notice some bandings on #2 btw ... due to sharpening?

i think it's more of sharpening, i overused my camera quite abit, so recently some of the pictures get bandings after some USM applied. i think the sensor on my camera overworked i sense retirement soon ...

yeah, now that you mention it, i see banding as well
i'll check the original, I don't think it is due to USM as I only apply selective sharpining
learned that from master eikin

I have checked the original,
thank goodness that there was no banding found
I think the banding was caused in post processing
by either my aggressive noise reduction or jpeg compression.

But second pic compo nice but eyes not there? Third one is super sharp.

Thanks for sharing! Can see reflection from the spider eyes! Anyway, you shooting at biggest aperture for these shots?

i agree with you tltan, i like the composition as well but too bad the eyes are OOF
if i am not wrong the extreme shallow dof is done by going mim focusing distance
#1 and #2 was at f5.6 (morning)
#3 to last was around F16 - f22 (afternoon)

i think it is the contrast of the oof BG and infocus subject that make it look sharper
