last night's game was the worst ever performance from ashley cole in an England shirt.

    Ferdinand, Terry, Carrick and Lampard.

Rio was everywhere but nowhere near the action.

Terry is clueless. is he the central Centerback or is he a sweeper or a spectator?

Lampard? it's time to move this guy out.

Carrick is out of sorts!!! he din't get involved at all.

credit to Carragher, Rooney, Crouch and Scott Parker. i thought they did ok.

Rooney was his usual blistering self, running everywhere, chasing back lost balls...
Crouch was too often isolated in attack as Rooney track back to midfield to receive the ball probably due to Lampard's poor display. i thought Crouch is England's main weapon as Rooney gets swarmed by 2 Croatian players very quickly whenever he receives the ball.

Robinson was once on trial at Highbury, Arsenal Gunners. Wenger had a look at him but gave up the option to sign him. Hotcakes next came in and got him from Leeds Utd. missing something here?

Kirkland is slowly recovering his form and fitness. rumour has it that the England boss, Steve, is looking to displace Robinson with another English GK(the Newpaper has listed as 'rumours'). next game up for England is a friendly. i fully expect Kirkland to start the game.

it would be a boring Euro Champ without England. it might jus happen with Steve McClaren as the gaffer.

Classic Robinson kelong. It's a Neville own goal but I think its more of a Robinson fault.

I just want so say those who think that England performance was clueless...lack of movement, lack of attacking ideas , players being stifled ,chopping and changing personnel, changing the formation from game to game, no urgency, players not having a belief in what they are exactly doing ...

ITS JUST LIKE WATCHING BORO UNDER HIM.

Why do you think its always the manager's fault ?

England will struggle under any manager.

Germany has this unity abt them.
Croatia is so determined, likewise with wales and the irish.

england is like a pile of scattered sand. too many divisions and stars.

by the way, Singapore was beaten 4-2 by Iraq.
    the boys are getting better.

If you guys think u had it bad with that performance...imagine us having to endure him week in week out and his "We were magnificent" at every post match conference.

And last season it was so bad that when we were tonked 4-0 by Aston Villa at home a fan even ran to the dugout and threw his season ticket at Mcclaren and u should have seen the coaching stuff's reaction and everyone were cheering the fan on...and no it wasn't him who brought us to the Uefa Cup Final...it was the fans and Southgate who got the dressing room together and the fans singing "You are my Boro" at that match and the ticket throwing inciden that really knocked some sense into the players.

    Good riddance.

    Haiz.......Tough being a english fan!!!
What i think, is that most singaporeans are English fans because of the constant exposure of the EPL on TV, the way EPL clubs market their players to asian countries or just simply because Sgp used to be a British colony and there's some left over mental association. Seriously, the English national team sucks.

    Stick to 4-4-2 formation

    Goalie
    Robinson

    Defence
    King (C) , Terry(SW), Ash cole(LWB), Gary Nev(RWB)

    Midfield
Joe Cole (LAM), Gerard (CAM), Lampard (CDM), Shaun Wright Philips(RAM)

    Forward
Darrent Bent , Rooney (or Crouch potato) both inconsistent

    Haha Championship manager

Drop owen even if he is fit.

Forget beckham, so what if his crosses are accurate. You cant pass to your forwards if you can't run fast enuff.

Appoint Kevin keegan as their Manager. Beautiful game = attacking football

Really miss thoses days when keegan was manager of newcastle.
Matches between Liverpool and Newcastle are alway a thriller

Germans under klinsman were fantastic during world cup esp during the opening match. I was shocked to see the speed and one touches football they play.. I felt its not the unity but their playing style. Can't see any unity between their goalie. They are just paying lip service in their praises for each other as they progressed further during the WC.

As it got to the later stages, the manager adopted a more conservative system (defence minded) and it really killed off their initial attacking style.
