Need Advice: Tokina 12-24mm or Sigma 10-20

hi all snappers,

Need advice between these two lenses.

Criteria for buying either of these lenses is for landscape photography and travel.

Please give your views and your personal stand...no sitting on fence

I would get the Tokina.. Just do a web search for Tokina 12-24mm lens reviews and you'll be convinced

Tokina got more mm than the Sigma....you need to BBB again.

Me also eyeing the Tokina 12-24. Hopefully my end-of-year bonus will be good enough to reward myself.

i think both will be excellent choices. you will be hard pressed to tell the difference between the two in terms of image quality. the sigma is sharper but the tokina is more contrasty.

but i wish to ask something: can both the tokina and sigma use normal CPLs and filters? or do both require slim filters? IIRC, only the sigma can take normal filters which would save a whole load of money. i cannot imagine spending $200 on a CPL

can anyone clarify?
