Finally tried out IR filter on my ricoh grd. Made tragic mistake on setting white balance on manual black and white mode. Huge mistake! Killed my tonal range and gave too gritty grain look.
First tries in using my ricoh grd for IR shots, if you notice at the right central, there is some hotspot due to my extremely slow shutter. Thats for experimenting on trips.

Quite fortunate to have met a few indonesian IR photographers like Dibyo, amazing people.

Central Bali is a beautiful place and pure IR heaven, unfortunately only had 2 hours of shooting time at Jatiluwih, love to revisit the place again, this time going to the various rice terraces at Jatiluwih and puncak

Maybe someone should organise a IR photo trip to bali

The IR Tree, it seems every IR landscape photo needs a tree in the image. With 2 hours to spare for shooting, I was shooting like film. The ricoh grd was extremely slow, unsure of my exposures, my shutters bracketed from 2sec to 8sec and somehow the 8sec gave the best exposure.

Hey matty, need your help, need you to teach me how to convert canon dslr to IR.

Vortex, my ISO is at 100, most of the shots are bracketed F-stop at 9 then set to timer.
The light condition changes quite drastically, the clouds moved fast and shadows everywhere. Must get more tips on your ricoh grd.

im still exploring with IR on the GRD as well...rest assured if i get a good setting for both quality and aperture/speed...i'll share it with you guys as well.

my main concern...is just being able to shoot w/o the use of a tripod lah
