not difficult right? just make another roll. since it will not leave any residue and won't stick with the same gaffer tape, right. ?Therefore you can make another roll by making another roll without cutting them off.

The Gaffer Tape is selling at 55m @ S$34.00

And I understand that most of us don't really need the whole roll... so I am planning to sell at S$0.65 per metre...

Anyone in for it...??

From what I know is that the tape cannot be re-used. That is rolled into a smaller one and then used for sticking else where. Adhesive side is to be stuck once only after peeling off from the original roll. You may like to do a simple test first to be really sure before selling at a meter. Any one got any other insights to share.

Do you buy his idea...??

If so, there will be 3 person... would be 18.5m @ $11.40 each...??

1st person - 18.5m @ $11.40
2nd person - 18.5m @ $11.40
3rd person - 18m @ $11.40 - IVOR will take the last...

I am not very sure. If possible, I would like to share also. I don't need a lot. Just enough to protect some parts of my dc will do.

it is better it can be sure:

Default Gaffer Tape

Hi to all, I'm a newbie here and I see you guys talking abt this gaffer tape. I was just wondering what does it do?
Can I use the gaffer tape on my digi-cam(At the base) as I just find I might get some small scratches if I mount my digi-cam to the tripod?

If it's really useful, I was hoping to share the gaffer tape with you guys. Hope you guys can enlighten me on this!

I also don't know. But I remember to protect your camera gears. Some photograhers use it to cover the brand/mark of the cameras when they travel to some third world countries to avoid being the targets. Some others use to tape their tripod to protect tripod. Quite useful, though.

other than the residue factor, how does gaffer tape compare to cheapo duct/cloth tape?

*cough cough* [In comes the Gaffer Freak]

from extensive personal experience, the tape starts to lose it's "stickiness" when it's seperated from the roll... it's like any other scotch tape or duct tape. you can't really tear it off and then roll it back in and expect to use it again.

my best recommendation is for someone to buy it outright first, then bring down and sell it off piecemeal to whoever wants to use it (mabbe at a small markup for travelling, etc). they can tape their stuff on the spot and then pay according to how much they use (it's hard to gauge though, so mabbe agar-agar a bit lor).
