Thread: Help with stiff circular polariser

Default Help with stiff circular polariser

I haven't been using my B+W circular polariser for a few weeks.
Now it is very stiff when I try to adjust.
Please advise on how to loosen it.

Hmm ... if no dust or grit stuck in between (can hear when you turn if you put it up to your ear), then just turn and turn and turn and turn to season. Alternatively, if you're adventerous, you could use an insulin syringe with a very thin oil like Singer (sewing machine oil) and put one micro dot in between the two rings, wipe off excess and turn and turn.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks! Will try singer oil later.
Hope it doesn't leak into the lens.

    You can try WD40 too!
