Which ballhead for Slik Pro 400 DX tripod...

Hello,

I have a Slik Pro 400 DX tripod. Looking for a ballhead to replace the pan-and-tilt head that came with the tripod.

I am using a Canon 30D with the 24-70L lens on it most of the time. I also have the 100-400L lens which I use mainly for outdoor sports photography.

Have been reading the forum and have seen the Manfrotto 486RC2 being recommended frequently. Can it take the weight of the 30D body + 100-400L lens ? BTW, how much does the Manfrotto 486RC2 cost ?

Any other recommendations are most welcome.
