Default Vocaluptous (acapella group)

Happened to capture this group during their performance at Raffles City end of last year. Vocaluptous is a 7-member group that does acapella music (singing without any instrumental accompaniment).

I would say that they're rather hip and dynamic group, though their musical technicality are way behind established groups such as In-A-Chord or Budak Pantai.

Here are some footages of that performance....

The group with the attitude...

Great colours and sharpness in what seems to be tricky ambient light.

High ISO + mild fill flash was used I presume?

The leader of the group...Simone Khoo

Sam blowing his own trumpet (literally). Using falsetto technique, one can simulate the sound of a trumpet pretty convincingly...

Their sound engineer, whose responsibility is to balance the voices for the group.

Last but not least...

ISO 400, mostly flashless. Fill flash for some of them

How did you manage to keep it so noise free at ISO400?

Any post-processing?

ISO 400 is relatively clean on a Canon D60. Post-processing includes tweaking the hue/saturation, to help reduce the red noise present in the raw photos.

CMOS is better for lower ISO, but somehow CCD is better for ISO above 400.
