Default Sigma 24-135mm F2.8-4.5 - comments?

Would you get it, for USD 113? (see www.cameta.com)

To be frank, I'll only be getting it because it's affordable (and because i might like the range.)

Generally, though, i suspect that the wide angle loss would be more painful, although this is mitigated by the greater speed (which might make it more useful in darker/bokeh situations.)

I suppose for longer range I could also go with the kit 50-200, which by all accounts is a nice lens too? Is it available locally and for how much?

They (CAmeta) do not ship to Singapore........ read that this lens is rather soft beyond 85mm......

Do let us know if you are able to get your hands on one .........

Yup, if i get it it'll be in the US.

and.. yeah. I wish I knew how often I'd need the wide angle which I'd be giving up.
