F30 - Made in ?

Hi

Can anyone help. I always thot SG was cheaper for camera stuff but MS just quoted me $590 for the F30 with 1 GB xD and a spare batt.

However, F30 in Beijing, is abt S$530 with 512 Fujifilm xD.

Q1. Any idea whether those sold in Beijing are made in China?
Q2. Are those sold in SG made in China?

If the SG ones are made in JP, i rather get that. However, if all made in China, then I might as well go back to CN to buy. Any advise?

For your reference, F30 is Yen 30,340 in Japan. Tourist pay only Yen 28,823.

Camera alone, no xD card.

u r forgoing the warranty for $40-$50 difference for the similar package in singapore...

if anything happen to the camera and needed repair, it will definately more than $50...

But wouldn't there be warranty for the CN one too? Since I stay in CN, it might be more convenient. However, i am more concerned whether one is made in china and one is made is JP. For 50, i will buy the Made in JP one.

oic.. if u are in china, then might as well buy in China... whether made in jap/china, the quality are the same and component used in both country of manufacturing should be the same... anyway since under warranty, anything problem juz bring to the service center.

As far as I am aware, those available in SG are China-made.

Thanks. Now i just need to evaluate if an extra 512mb of XD card is worth the $50. Somehow feel better buying in SG.

The F30 camera is now all Made-in-China, I asked many SG shops before and all selling Made-in-China ones, the xD card maybe Made-in-Japan though.
