I am going to get the A100 tomolo but no lens to try out :P
hi guys, sorry i know this is a wrong section. anyone got lobang for a Sigma 17-70 mm lens ?

good lens .. i have one brand new. light and nice bokeh , sharp lor .. no regrets buying it at $580 .. but remember to test.. the other BRAND new one i tried spoilt . zoom lock button damaged. AP in simlim has 2 sony mounts. but they quoted me $610.. super ex. ..you need to haggle for discount la

tamron 17-50mm f2.8 right ?? not yet arrived in singapore , slightly close to $600 i think... it really depends how you wanna use the lens .. that lens similar to 18-50mm , most of the time you wouldnt shoot it in f2.8 cos a bit soft, unless really low light.. but i rather boost up iso or for goodness sake , bring a tripod /monopod out dont be lazy ..
Even i had f2.8 lens, i always shoot at f4.. depends on your shooting style. 17-70mm is for the extra range. since i shoot at f4 majority of the time, the f-stop is good enough for me. I bought mine at SONG Brothers !!! can you believe it ?? AP quote me more expensive .. ridiculous.. ! |

if you unlucky , a brand new sigma got dust inside the lens one .. 17-70mm at 50mm F4 , will be sharper than sigma 18-50mm or tamron 17-50mm f4. Up to u to believe me .. actually zoom lens at the extreme ends especially f2.8 quite weak.. look at the famous tamron 28-75mm f2.8 you will know what i meant.. But definately tamron the built is better than the sigma, especially this 1770 lens.. |

HAVE ! ... the long awaiting carl zeiss 16-80 f3.5-4.5 .. to be release early next year , maybe close to $1000-$1200 and Zeiss lens is reputated for lack of stocks .. same case to the new zeiss prime ZF/ZS lens .. my guess is many out there will rush to buy.. prices get jacked and many will wanna sell shortly. I might wana buy the CZ 85mm f1.4 prime though =) keke
KM hmmm ... look for the old KM 28-75mm f2.8, its similar to Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 (rumoured same production).. or wait for the new sony re-packaged re-branded lens to reach singapore and get "chopped" lor .. Sony lens gonna be real expensive.. zoom lens starting from 16-18mm to 70-80mm hard to find man ! - The sigma 17-70 still a good lens comparing what available in the market. a bit costly to replace a kit lens in my opinion. |

The cheap but reasonably KM 18-70mm kit lens.

Tokina seems to be moving away from the A-Mount. All their new lens no A-Mount version. Can check CP if any stock left over from their old catalog. Generally Tokina has good built and heavy.
