Default AF points screen

Hi All
This is my first post (uh ok second ) and I already need help.
When cleaning my focusing screen, I'd unintentionally scratched this transparent plastic screen with AF points on it.
Does anybody know where I can get a spare one, and how much does it cost? It doesn't ruin pictures or anything, but's just very iritaiting.
Oh, I've almost forgot, I've Minolta's d7d

Probably need to call/visit Sony service centre in your country, an ask for replacement screen, seem to be quite cheap if you replace it yourself, but be careful of trapping dust issue.

You may look around here for more past info

Welcome to the club. Best is to ask your country the cost of the replacement screen as others had said. If not just live with it, shouldn't be that bad a scratch.

Thx, for all replies.
Del_CtrlnoAlt -> so what, I'm from Poland, beside that closes sony service for dslr's is in germany:P. Does M type screen have focus points on it? I've thought that it was only mat glass, and af points are on separate glass(that one that I'd scratched) just like in G type screen.

do i sound hostile? hmm, anyway, i just meant newbie = u, cos 3 post count, then notice u in poland. nothing about so what, cos i thought most would be from singapore, until i read zcf mention country, was like .... then... ooohhh no harm...

anyway, since its been scratched, and since changing, might as well change to a better one with almost the same cost. 7D uses 2 sandwich focusing screen, not sure which is the one u scratched, so just offer opinion to change to a better one.

It's fine, I was not touched. I was jus curious why was it so strange I am from Poland.
Getting back to screens. I know that they are dual. I've scratched one with focus points(the transparent one) - this one is called the L type, am I right?
I think that I will change also the G one, to the M type, if they have it in service center, which really really su++s:/

the normal one is non-L, i'm not sure what its called cos its not in the catalog, i've changed mine to the L, which have rules of thirds line across the screen.

That "thing" is called a SI screen. To make life easier for the technicians, you can also quote them the part number 2181-5820-02.

How much it cost if I want to change mine to L screen. I have this on my 700si which I changed many years back. Cant remember liao. Also how long it takes to have the screen installed, a few days, with the service centre?
