Default My Camera Does Not Have an U/W Mode?

Hi there.. I'm kinda new to underwater photography so I don't know if the rules of photography on land applies to that U/W. I'm thinking of getting the Canon Powershot A530, which does not have an U/W photography mode. Does that make a big difference or does it matter at all? Can some one help me out here? Or can someone recomend a Canon Compact Cam that he/she has been using that works pretty well U/W

Thanks!

hi there. Welcome to this forum. As rule of thumb, for new members who post questions that are not so new, we strongly encourage them to do a search first before posting questions. This sub-thread has been in existence for almost 2 years, and lots have been discussed.
