Talking Full Moon, last night, low atmospheric turbulence...

Last night's viewing conditions were very good, with very little turbulence....and no wind. These shots are taken from my backyard. Finally I am now happy with my ETX90. These are full-frame shots. Only resized without cropping. Levels adjusted in PS and converted to greyscale.

Managed to see saturn also. Very small (only 52x magnification) but can clearly see the ring.

Nice shots Roy. Next time try to take it when it's not so close to full moon, maybe can get better pictures. The brightness when it is close to full moon can sometimes saturate the sharpness, hence you get less 3-D effect.

For a 3.5" scope, your shots are really good.

Hmmm.. with pictures so clear, any chance to, say, spot the landing spots for the lunar missions?

Yeah, i am being a little banal today...

Thanks, Starman!

I will definitely try again next week, provided there is minimal turbulance...and no wind . Oops...sorry again Street.

You'll have better chances with Starman's pictures. His LX90 has much better resolution than my humble ETX90.
