What is a good digital camera to get, that is below $1000?

Oly C730 or C50, Canon G2 or S45, Nikon cp4300, Fujifilm S602 (not sure within your budget ro not).

Besides getting the camera, do spare some money for the following (in order of priority):

Extra memory cards (depending on megapixel, if 3 MP above, recommend get at least 1 piece of 128MB card, ard. $80)
Battery Charger and extra batteries (for cams using AA batteries)
Tripod (depending on type of use, you could get the cheap ones for $40)

If you narrow down your camera to 2-3 (eliminate based on needs and budget), do check in at this forum and ask for recommendations before buying.
