Default Deep, where the sun don't shine

What happens when you go down so deep that the colours disappear? Found an old, old camera underwater and these are the pictures inside...

#1 Jellyfish

#2 Guitar shark and its entourage of cobias

#3 Pufferfish

#4 Anemone-fish

#5 Nembrotha Kubaryana

Love it? Hate it? More here: www.antacid.os3.sg

Tips, advice, comments are much appreciated.

Well if you ask me, i prefer colors....unless there are distinct contrast in the photos. imho, i tot those with sunburst or wide angle or wreck is more suited to play ard with black and white. what do the rest think?

Although I dun shoot underwater, I agree with the others that underwater photos is best served with colours. The concept is the same as birds and animals

heh heh seems like the preference is unanimous...just thought it would be a refreshing look at the same ole stuff we see every dive. everything all so colourful..the pictures tend to look similar when you have enough of them.

yes, i agree, the monotone would probly work better with wrecks and divers. will try that next week. i can't seem to get a decent sunburst from my camera..always 'blooms' into a nice cyan patch. *yurk*

thanks for the feedback!

wah, evil.. but yes, i've been wanting to change a camera.

however i'm having a hard time deciding. here's my problem:
1. get a cheap cheap A620?
2. get the A630 or A710IS? (more zoom, with IS, but only runs on 2AA so might have to open housing more often)
3. get the G7 with Digic3? Ikelite housing goign to cost a bomb, though
4. Just wait till Digic3 is implemented in the A series?
