Default Permanent IR conversion for DSLR

Hi all

For those interested to modify their DSLR to IR permanently, we can
share cost to bring Harlim (IR Modificator) from indonesia to either Batam or Singapore
to help us with the modification.

Type of camera bodies for modification is as follows

version 3 ( monochrome) and version 5 (some links are here http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=196223
http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=194013
http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=194145
http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=193222

Nikon d50/d100/D70/D70s/d200

Canon 300d/350d/20d/30d/5d/1ds/1dsmk2

Cost of modifications are as follows

IR v3 USD 275
IR v5 USD 385

Looking for at least 10 people to share the cost of bringing Harlim over
(should cost about $50 each)

Intersted parties, please list down your name below specifying
the camera used, lens used and also the version you want.

Let me list down the name:
1. Lim Wee Siong - Nikon D70 - Sigma 10-20 - v3
2. William Chua - Canon 20D -10-22 - v5
3.

You may PM me for any clarifications.

Cheers

For Nikon, especially D70, look for Deadpixel, I believe he's cheaper than Harlim.

Just to add, for ultra-wide APS-C lens, you dun need to calibrate. I uses a Sigma 10-20mm on a 300D modded without any calibration. Pix came out fine. If you want to calibrate a lens, its always the tele lens thats back focussed. Especially 70-135mm range.

sorry to sound noob. a permanent IR conversion will mean that your camera will not be able to take normal shots anymore?

Wah... really tempting... got only one DSLR body... really wonder I should convert it... question, do I need to calibrate the lens too? or I can use any lens that I already have and use it for my normal photoshoot?
